Mental Health at Work ‘gateway’ Launch

Earlier this week HRH the Duke of Cambridge launched ‘Mental Health at Work’ – a new ‘online gateway’ funded by The Royal Foundation as part of their Heads Together campaign.

Mental Health at Work is a huge collaboration with the Mental Health charity Mind and a number of key partner organisations from across the UK including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, Time to Change, HM Government and many more!

Here’s what Mental Health at Work has to say about their new service;

“Whether you work with 10 people, 10,000 people or just yourself, paying attention to mental health in the workplace has never been more important. Mental Health at Work is here to help you find the information and resources you need.”

We are really happy to see such a rich collection of resources made available for free download which include documents, guides, tips, videos, courses, podcasts, templates and information from key UK organisations, all aimed at helping you get to grips with workplace mental health.

In particular, we love the pre-packaged ‘toolkits’ which have been put together to help employers and employees focus on a particular area of workplace mental health.

Mind carried out some research recently, that found that almost half (48 percent) of people said that they had experienced a mental health issue while at their current place of employment. The Workplace Wellbeing Index, which consulted more than 44,000 employees, also revealed that of those that had experienced anxiety, depression or stress, only half had talked to their employer about it, and that an estimated one in four UK workers is struggling in silence.

Now more than ever it is time for employers to embrace and support their employee’s mental health and wellbeing.
