Mental health issues are extremely common

1 in 6 experience symptoms of poor mental wellbeing that impact on their ability to thrive at work and to enjoy life. Working at home, without the right protective measures in place, can impact significantly on our mental health.

Do you experience symptoms of poor mental health due to prolonged amounts of time working at home in isolation from your colleagues?

Our workshop with mental health expert Claire Russell will guide you through the fundamentals for working from home in a way that supports your mental health and wellbeing for the better.

Working from home some or all of the time can be very challenging and isolating. For those with preexisting mental health issues – or with a pre-disposition to anxiety or low mood, working from home can aggravate symptoms or cause them to increase.

The 2019 State of Work report, which surveyed thousands of homeworkers, found that, while many of the respondents enjoyed many of the benefits of homeworking, they also struggled with not being able to switch off, feeling isolated and struggling to stay motivated.

After attending this workshop, you will:

1. Know what the most important thing is in your life

We live in a digital age of information overload, bigger workloads, busy professional and personal lives and increased demands on our time and energy. Learn how to prioritize what matters most to you in your life to get the results you want.

2. Establish a new wellbeing routine that you can be proud of

It’s easy for professionals in business to lose touch with healthy habits which lay the foundations for good mental health and wellbeing. Learn about healthy routines and how to avoid the road to chronic stress and burnout.

3. Be inspired to make more time for yourself

It turns out that making more time for yourself starts with getting more organised. Find new ways to give yourself the time and space you need to rest and recharge in an increasingly manic world. See the power of choice in your own life and leave the workshop inspired to make better choices that will support you for years to come.

4. Be able to set healthy boundaries for your own sanity

If you are a someone who has a caring instinct and often puts everyone before yourself then there has never been a better time to start setting healthy boundaries for your own mental health. Work with Claire to start setting healthy boundaries for yourself and others to give yourself space and time to breathe.

5. Be the owner of your life

If you are not taking ownership of your own life and making your own choices, then others will make choices for you who might not have your best interests at heart. Take part in a simple self-inquiry to help you regain control in your life and finally create the work/life balance you have always been looking for.

6. Know what you need to do to create a safe and healthy workspace at home

The world is changing rapidly with people working from home now more than ever. That’s why it’s important to create a dedicated workspace that supports your physical and mental wellbeing.
